U.S. Air Force Using GPADS for Airdrops of Supplies to Forces Battling ISIS in Syria

In an article released yesterday, January 17th 2017, the U.S. Air Force is using guided precision aerial delivery systems (GPADS) to deliver goods from ammunition to vehicles into unsafe warzones, in this case, Syria. « Today, the bundles are guided onto landing zones using GPS technology and steerable parachutes.  » We’ll get it within 10 or 15 meters of the mark, » Everhart said.
