RAM AIR TACTICAL PARACHUTE SYSTEMS

Fly Farther, Carry More, Land Softly

Overview

High Performance Ram Air Parachute

The Hi-5 Ram Air Parachute is the most recent innovation in our line of military parachutes. The Hi-5 is truly one of a kind. Not only does it have exceptional ram air glide performance, but it also has the ability to lose altitude quickly–similar to a troop parachute. In order to achieve this, our engineers designed our patent pending Glide Modulation System. Additional toggles are located on the front risers, which allow the jumper to gradually modulate the glide of the canopy, giving the jumper a glide ratio anywhere between 5:1 and 1:1.

This eliminates the need to do spirals or S-turns to lose altitude, and allows for accurate landings. Hence, the Glide Path Modulation is a unique and powerful tool for any type of military free fall operations.

Superior Ram Air Parachute Design

The Hi-5 offers:

  • A higher All Up Weight (AUW) of 485lbs on both the main and reserve
  • A greater glide ratio of 5:1
  • A docile & safe canopy*
  • A silent canopy
  • Ease of use
  • Ease of maintenance

* Even in full brake, the canopy does not stall. The toggle’s pressure is light even with heavy weight.

Advanced Ram Air Parachute Technology

The new design capitalizes on the handling characteristics of the Intruder Ram Air Parachute, the performance of the Hi-Glide, and embraces the tactical consideration of a true ‘main on main’ (main and reserve with identical flight performance) tactical parachute system.

Precision Handling

The Hi-5 Ram Air Parachute is intuitive for the rigger to pack and for the jumper to handle, with a performance similar to the MC-6 parachute. You can go long distances, but with a unique b-line stall capability that’s used in paragliding-type parachutes.  You can steer and change glide ratio simultaneously, and land it in very small areas.
