(English) Utility Worker

JOB SUMMARY: 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Installs suspension line to canopy and riser.
  • Tie link, glue, wax, mark, finger trap, hot cut with knife.
  • Heat tacks all ribbon canopies on heat tack table with small hot knife and heat tack needle.
  • Hand tack – Sews with hand needle and thread.
  • Uses small hand tools
  • Accurately measures with basic measuring instruments.
  • Performs assembly duties as assigned
  • Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides using whole numbers and fractions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed assembly instructions that are written in English
  • Must be able to read drawings/diagrams
  • Experience in general assembly
  • Performs basic tasks as instructed
  • Communicates verbally with co-workers, group leader, and supervisor.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a United States citizen (Export Control Requirement)

                                                                                    

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Manufacturing and / or commercial assembly experience, working experience with various high-tech equipment.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee may be exposed to loud noise levels and moving mechanical parts, typical of a manufacturing environment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  The position requires that the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and/or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk: climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Requires strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Pay Rate: $16.50 – $18.37 per hour
