Position Summary:
The Document Control Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of controlled documents and records across the organization. This role ensures compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR, and supports Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams in the timely release, revision, and archiving of documentation.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain the company’s document control system, ensuring the proper creation, revision, distribution, and archival of controlled documents.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and other documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with format and revision standards.
- Manage document workflows to ensure timely review, approval, and release.
- Track changes and revision history of documents to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Provide responsive document support to Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain departments.
- Safeguard the storage and access of sensitive and ITAR-controlled documents in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external document audits and respond to audit inquiries by providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain accurate document control databases and logs using document management systems such as SharePoint or other document management tools.
- Assist with training and guidance for team members on document control procedures and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing document control processes and efficiency.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Follows company rules and procedures.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in document control, ideally within the aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with compliance standards including AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR.
Qualifications:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and managing documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experienced in using document control platforms (e.g., SharePoint, PLM systems).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, part numbers, and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Knowledge of revision control, configuration management, and regulatory documentation standards.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Periodic travel may be required to support project functions such as supplier visits, product testing, and technical customer meetings.
ITAR Requirements:
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Work Environment: (*)
This position will require a working environment mix comprised of office, shop floor, field and customer locations (both domestic and international). While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to static electricity; explosives in test conditions; fumes; airborne particles; outside weather conditions prevalent at the time and an air-conditioned and heated office. The noise level is normally moderate may be occasionally high.

Pay Range: $26.00 – 38.00
